Growing with Grace is a Community Garden Initiative that promotes community beautification, health and wellness, environmental awareness, and community organizing.

1.

Growing with Grace promotes community beautification by turning vacant land plots, often filled with debris and rubbish, to beautiful gardens of flowers and produce crops.

2.

Additionally, it is our goal to further combat the plague of neighborhood food deserts that has for decades been a problem on the Chicago South Side. Growing with Grace will provide fresh nutritious produce to families who don’t have access healthy food options.

3.

Lastly, Growing with Grace promotes awareness to develop cleaner environments and community organizing. Plants in our gardens add oxygen to the air and help reduce air pollution, we also recycle plant waste for composting. Our garden is open to the community and will provide a great opportunity for networking, organizing, and building strong community spirit!
